We take a peek at the film adaptation of Aussie bestseller Tomorrow, When the War Began.

Ever since its release in 1993, the John Marsden novel Tomorrow, When the War Began has been a prime candidate for a big-screen adaptation. Set in Australia, the book – the first in a series of seven – follows a group of friends thrust into a war zone in their own home town.

“My brother and I loved it and just bought book after book,” says former Home and Away star Lincoln Lewis, who plays Kevin. “Even when I reading it, I thought, ‘This would be a sick movie to do’.”

Ex-Neighbours actress Caitlin Stasey and H2O: Just Add Water’s Phoebe Tonkin also star in the teen classic.

“Fi’s the posh one,” says Phoebe of her character. “Her mother was a beauty queen, so she’s grown up with someone who’s big on etiquette and how people perceive you.”
