You might know a few things about Aussie beauty Phoebe Tonkin — she’s a talented actress making it big in Hollywood, she’s one of our top style icons and she’s got a major social media following. One thing you might not know about Phoebe: she’s a total health nut. She and best friend, actress Teresa Palmer, run wellness website Your Zen Life together and Phoebe’s often swapping the red carpet for green juices and a tough workout. Following the Adidas Energy Boost global launch, which Phoebe attended in New York, we chatted to the actress about what she exercises in, where she shops, the last thing she bought and much more. Right this way!
What do you love to wear for a workout?
I love to wear all black, I think its sleek and cool. And now obviously I’ll be wearing my new Adidas Energy Boost shoes to train in!
How does LA style differ to Sydney style, in your opinion?
I think Sydney gets very influenced by the beaches and the surf culture, I think LA is a little bit less relaxed. I think people focus a bit more on what they are wearing, whereas I’m used to just finding whatever is clean and throwing it on.
What are you favourite Aussie brands to stock up on when you’re back home?
Ellery, Dion Lee, Lover, Camilla and Marc . . . I truly do love Australian designers. I end up buying it online to be shipped over here.
Any favourite label discoveries you’ve made whilst in the US?
I like Reformation, and Rag & Bone just opened up near my house. I also like James Perse.
What’s your go-to outfit for a long haul flight?
Bassike tracksuit pants, a big cozy woollen jumper, ballet flats, a beanie and a huge scarf.
Any style tricks you picked up on set from stylists?
I had the most incredible stylist on The Secret Circle. She was so good at mixing pieces from shops like Urban Outfitters with designers like Isabel Marant.
What is the last fashion item you bought?
A pair of Helmut Lang wide-leg trousers.
