WetPaint: Phoebe Tonkin Covers Elle Australia, Talks “Biggest Fear”

At just 25, Phoebe Tonkin has had quite an amazing television career. First she won fans over as Cleo Sertori on H2O: Just Add Water, then as Faye Chamberlain on The Secret Circle. Now she’s wowing audiences as Hayley Marshall on The Vampire Diaries first and now The Originals. But even though she’s one of the hottest actresses on teen TV, that doesn’t mean she’s without fears.

“My biggest fear was that I was too ordinary,” she tells Elle Australia in their March issue, of which she is the covergirl.

We personally think Phoebe is the perfect blend of gorgeousness and raw talent. The Aussie gal is relatable in every role we’ve seen her in thus far, so clearly that big move to Los Angeles back in 2011 was a smart choice on her part. But while she’s very open about her career, the same cannot be said about her personal life — specifically her relationship with Paul Wesley.

“I definitely try not to put too much about my personal life but the other side of that is that I’m 25, and sometimes I’m happy and I want to share photos in the same way that all my other friends who are at uni or are working in Sydney do,” she explains.

When Phoebe isn’t letting us in on her love life by posting adorable photos with Paul like these, she’s busy working on breaking into the film industry. Her latest movie? The Ever After with buddy and fellow beauty from Down Under Teresa Palmer.

If you ask us, Phoebe has nothing to be afraid of. She’s one of our favorites!
