Head into the heart of Perth’s CBD and you’ll stumble across a piece of Paris. Chanel’s newest store in Raine Square, designed by New York-based architect Peter Marino, is the maison’s first ever boutique combining fashion and fragrance. Step inside and you’ll be reminded of the classic décor that fills the space of 31 Rue Cambon; lacquered black and white panels, beiges and romantic bay windows that hail from Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’s iconic apartment.
Alongside floors dedicated to Chanel’s most recognisable silhouettes and styles—the shape of their 11.12 and 2.55 for example, as well as their two-tone slingbacks, ballerina flats and signature J12 timepiece—the maison’s fragrance and beauty space will offer customers a virtual makeover experience. Book in a beauty consultation on-site and be guided through their collection of perfumes and skincare range—experts will also be present to demonstrate massage and application techniques should you so require.
Here, Australian actress and longtime Chanel ambassador Phoebe Tonkin takes us through her day out at the new Perth boutique, from a morning get-ready-with-me, bathrobe and all, to curating her outfit for the visit. Scroll through to discover her intimate photo diary.
