Grazia Magazine: Phoebe Tonkin on her Favourite Past Times in NYC

In NYC for the reopening of Tiffany & Co.’s The Landmark, Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin reflects on her time living in the city, and breaks down one of her most beautiful red carpet looks to date

GRAZIA: You live in LA, but you spend a lot of time in New York. What’s your favourite thing about the city?
Phoebe Tonkin: I love the energy, I love walking around and seeing where the day takes me. I love running into friends on the streets and being impulsive.

GRAZIA: Do you remember the first time you visited Tiffany & Co.’s Fifth Avenue store?
PT: I was 11 or 12 years old and it was the first time I’d ever been to NYC. I said to myself when I was that age that one day I would live in this city, and I did!

GRAZIA: What is your favourite floor inside the new Tiffany & Co. The Landmark?
PT: It’s incredible. It’s difficult to pick a favourite but if I had to choose one, it would be the fourth floor which houses the designer galleries. I love the special nods to each designer and seeing their archival Tiffany window designs.

GRAZIA: Which NY borough resonates with you the most? Where do you like to hang out?
PT: I lived in Chinatown and so it has a lot of beautiful memories for me. But I love the Upper East Side as well.

GRAZIA: You wore an incredible YSL dress to the Tiffany landmark opening. How did you arrive at that choice?
PT: I wanted something elegant that would accentuate the jewellery. I loved the shape, which paired beautifully with my Elsa Peretti pieces.

GRAZIA: What’s next for you? What are you working on?
PT: I’m about to go shoot a film for a few weeks which I’m very excited about!
