Phoebe Participates in #BrightPinkLipstickDay for Breast and Ovarian Cancer Awareness

[ Written on September 12 2016 by Sarah ]

Friday 23rd September

Save Lives with your Lips

Pink Hope’s annual #BrightPinkLipstickDay campaign is empowering everyone to have a conversation regarding their family health history… because with this knowledge you have the power to take control of your health.

We are encouraging families, friends and colleagues to sign up to host a Bright Pink Lipstick Day Fundraiser. Not only are fundraisers a great way to get people together but the funds raised through this campaign enable Pink Hope to invest in critical lifesaving programs and support services.

Pink Hope’s Mission Statement:

Pink Hope is a preventative health organisation working to ensure every individual can assess, manage and reduce their risk of breast and ovarian cancer, providing every family the support they need.

Their mission is to provide tools and information to help the general population “know” their risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Provide support and information to members of the at-risk community to help them appropriately manage and navigate their risk. Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure a better transition for at-risk women as they move through each key touch point of their journey. Promote open discussion around family health history in the general population through targeted campaigns and education. Encourage at-risk women to be vigilant and proactive with their breast and ovarian health, resulting in a much earlier diagnosis and better treatment. Advocate for at-risk families.
