I was very lucky yesterday (November 11th) to have several questions answered by Phoebe, Julie, and Carina. They ranged from questions about Hayley’s background to how Hope was named to what they wished could have included in the show.
In a broader question, has there ever been something you just really wanted to do on the show but for whatever reason couldn't? Do you have a favorite scene that got left on the cutting room floor?

I always wanted to do something in a period flashback but sadly logistically (even in a magical show) it didn't make sense? I had to look at all the lovely corsets and bonnets from afar, enviously. https://t.co/qcNq8H3ThG

I don't know that we've ever said who chose Hayley as a name. I like the Father K idea though.
There's a scene in ep 508 this year where we show again how Hope got her name.

We knew we wanted Hayley to die giving birth to Hope and wake up a hybrid, which is why we told Tyler's story in the first season.
There's not a single character's ending that we had planned from the beginning, and yet everyone's ending brings something full circle.

You can ask @cadlymack about all her despair re: scenes that were left behind. She has plenty! As for me, my only regret was not showing in flashback why Klaus made Elijah believe he had thrown his entire family into the ocean (from #TVD). We mention it in the finale, though.

1. Rebekah and Freya talking about Rebekah's experimentation with women, and the fact that Keelin is not an experiment for Freya.
2. Hayley and Klaus having a more in-depth conversation about Klaus having a bit of PTSD after 5 years in a dungeon. Her comforting him.— carina adly mackenzie (@cadlymack) November 11, 2017
3. A scene with Jackson and Freya sharing a drink that we wrote but never filmed. We had a whole story arc about the two of them connecting, but Nathan was a guest star & had to move on to something else, so it had to go.

Most of what gets cut is just characters talking about stuff that doesn't advance plot, it's just… human life emotion stuff. Unfortunately, that's the stuff that I LOVE the most. We're currently cutting stuff out of ep 508 & it's like watching someone do surgery on my baby.
