So the moment we saw Thomas Dekker, we were sold on the CW’s The Secret Circle (does anyone else see the Chuck Bass resemblance?). But since then, we’ve actually watched the show, and it’s dark and scary and fun and fascinating all at the same time. So we decided to we had to get to know some of the witchy girls casting magic on the show, asap. Here’s what Phoebe Tonkin had to say about it all:
Seventeen:So tell us about your character Faye!
Phoebe Tonkin: She’s kind of the bad girl of the show. I played her as impatient. She’s very manipulative. I don’t think that she thinks that what she’s doing is bad, she’s just hungry for this power and is relentless in getting it. She also enjoys watching everyone squirm, so it’s a really fun character to play.
17:The show’s creator, Kevin Williamson also does The Vampire Diaries. Were you a fan before you got the part?
PT: I grew up watching Dawson’s Creek, and I started watching The Vampire Diaries when I was auditioning because I wanted to get a feel of it… then I TOTALLY got hooked! Then I started getting all these spoilers because Kevin was writing it as I was filming and I was like don’t tell me what happens! He’s just so good at what he does!
17: So many cute boys on the show! Who do you think our readers will fall in love with?
PT: Both of the boys are gorgeous. One of them, Louis, is Australian, and then Thomas Dekker is just…so gorgeous and so talented. It’s kind of cool, because they play these sexy mysterious characters. I mean girls love that… I love that!
