On Thursday, January 12th, Phoebe and Joshua Jackson were seen filming a scene for Phoebe’s upcoming episode of the Affair.
Phoebe will guest star in season 4 as the protegé of a sculptor with a mysterious connection to Cole’s (Joshua Jackson) father. The season premieres this June!

The fifth and final season of the Vampire Diaries spinoff will premiere Friday, April 20 at 9/8c, The CW announced Sunday at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour.
Picking up after another major time jump, the show’s final season will reintroduce Hope Mikaelson as a teenager attending the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted. (Really rolls off the tongue, no?) And although the Mikaelsons were given strict instructions to stay away from one another — you know, for fear of reconstructing the evil Hollow — the siblings are gradually reunited to defeat one last enemy.
The Affair will return Sunday, June 17, at 9 p.m. ET. Showtime also released new info on the fourth season — which will introduce a handful of new characters played by Sanaa Lathan, Ramon Rodriguez, Russell Hornsby, Christopher Meyer, Amy Irving, and Phoebe Tonkin — and revealed that there will likely be a fifth season.
While we do not have confirmation exactly which episode Phoebe will guest star, we do know it will be in the Summer.
Cole’s personal journey in the fourth season of The Affair will put him the path of two very familiar-looking artists.
Phoebe Tonkin (The Originals) and Amy Irving (Alias) will guest-star in an episode of the Showtime drama’s upcoming season, TVLine has learned exclusively. Irving will play Nan Perino, a sculptress from Morro Bay, Calif., with a “mysterious” connection to Cole’s father. Tonkin will play Daphne, Nan’s protégé, who “guides” Cole through his quest for answers.
In addition to The Originals, which returns for its final season in 2018, Tonkin’s small-screen resume also includes roles on The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle. Irving, who has been nominated for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, recently starred in ABC’s short-lived Zero Hour.
Unlike The Affair‘s first three seasons, which explored the complicated connections between its core characters — Noah (Dominic West), Alison (Ruth Wilson), Helen (Maura Tierney) and Cole (Joshua Jackson) — the fourth season separates those individuals, sending them on their own journeys of self-discovery. Per the network, “every character is involved in a new relationship, forcing them each to decide if they’re ready and willing to leave the past behind for good [in] a season about new beginnings, tragic ends and the ever-elusive possibility of forgiveness.”
Earlier this year when I chatted to one of Australia’s most affable young actors Phoebe Tonkin at the Portsea Polo for GRAZIA, she described her default fashion style as “a good pair of jeans, nice shirt, ballet flats and a little Chanel bag”.
Well, it seems the affection runs both ways, given the Sydney-born but Los Angeles-based former model and star of The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off The Originals is a regular fixture at Chanel’s runway shows and launch events.
Even amongst dozens of the Europe’s most fashionable women who descended upon Hamburg for this year’s Chanel Metiers d’art collection runway show, Tonkin’s poise and style credentials saw her steal (in the GRAZIA office’s opinion) the red carpet limelight.
Considering she was joined by the likes of Kristen Stewart and Lily-Rose Depp (both faces of Chanel), actress Rinko Kikuchi, German top model Tatjana Patitz and Marine Vacth (face of the Chanel Cruise 2017/18 collection), that was no small task.
Tonkin’s combination of round-necked Chanel couture dress with mirrored sequins and black stilettos was proof that classic elegance can be just as sexy as bare skin. Chunky rings and a smoky eye were the only hints of rebellion in her otherwise regal look.
Phoebe recently wrapped up filming for the Originals. She shared several photos from filming along with some throwbacks to season one.
